The group is pictured (photo) behind Paul Diley's representation of Horseshoe Curve which attracted much attention from the crowd due to the location only a few miles away of the real item.

The weekend provided an opportunity to reestablish friendships with members of other clubs, and to view the N scale modeling efforts of the several clubs with layouts at the show. Club members were able to run a large variety of trains during the weekend, both the long and the short of it.

The club was proud to host a run of the iconic Cotton Brute, a [fictional] U60CG locomotive built by NTRAK founder Jim FitzGerald at the dawn of modular model railroading, now restored to full operation and touring the country in celebration of the NRAIL 50th anniversary. This well-named locomotive is famous for pulling a train of 560 hopper cars by itself at the first N-Scale Convention in Houston, Texas in August 1983. ( Nrail Newletter excerpt) Cotton Brute is shown pulling a freight headed by a BANTRAK Anniversary car on the club's Horseshoe Curve modules. (photo)

Roland Park Place Dec 2 2023

BANTRAK and Harford Area Railroad Modelers ( HARM ) erected a combined T-Trak layout at the Roland Park Place Retirement Community in Baltimore. This year saw a total of 80 linear feet of modules making up the layout.

The fun day of "rail fanning" was not only a chance to view model trains in action, but also served as an introduction to a possible new hobby for the residents and visitors. With the event even more popular than last year, visitors came from as far as D.C. and Pa.
