Come catch us at the Scale Show in Timonium. This show will likely feature new corner modules and be the debut of the 2009 Holiday Raffle Layout as well. Check us out in the "infamous" Cow Palace at the Maryland State Fairgrounds.
This will be the fifth N-Scale Weekend in Bedford, PA.and BANTRAK has attended every one! A two hour drive gets you a day full of on and off-site events. From N Scale (only) vendors and layouts to Altoona and Horseshoe Curve, it is a great time!
If you haven't attended, it is a must. If you have attended, there are always new things to discover and deals to be found while catching up with friendly faces from other Clubs.
Another good time to earmark is the Auction. Typically part of the proceeds (of not all) goes to a local RR related charity. Items are donated and purchased for a great cause! Find that obscure item you KNOW you need.

The Brunswick weekend turned out to be a relaxed,
fun-filled affair. It consisted of a 30 x 18 foot
loop using the club Yard, Paul Diley's yard plus a
number of modules from Dave and Denise Clyde, Steve
Van Metre and Alan Del Gaudio.
Set up in the air-conditioned fire house
social/activity room was accomplished by the above
plus Bob Winterbottom, Sandy Van Metre and Mark
Bandy. We were done with proven DC and DCC on all
lines by 4:15 Friday afternoon.
On Saturday Tim filled in for Mark and plenty of
run time was had by all. Sunday Frank and his
brother joined us plus Bob Mohr and Mark.
Andy Courtemanche and Bob W came by as well. We
took down the layout at 4 and easily had it packed
in all the cars by 5.
During the show, our neighbor Jimmy had a G-scale
layout which he started setting up on Wednesday all
by himself. Very impressive stuff!
The folks at the museum were very appreciative of
our participation. Their HO layout is very
nice-quite an large one and worth a visit and of
course CSX provided 1:1 scale activity.
Given the weather was 40-60 % chance of
thunderstorms, we did well, nary a raindrop but a
good deal of sun!
It was mentioned that this may be the record size
non-trailer, BANTRAK event! We did well.
Nearly 20 members provided modules and/or time to set up our Timonium layout on Friday. A smaller than usual crew got it up and running by 7 PM. Saturday and Sunday operated with few major equipment problems. OneTrak operations were sporadic though Red Yellow Blue slots were filled throughout the weekend. Patrons were down from recent shows while participation was still a highlight. Model Railroading is still FUN, to quote one of our favorite hobby mags.
The first show of the year... this show featured a new 1-Trak wye allowing us to set up a completely separate 1-Trak loop... and at the same time, allowing the red line to run through as well... cool stuff!
